GC CCS TECH FEST 2026

 On May 9, 2026, I attended the GC CCS TECH FEST 2026: Exploring the Advancements and Innovations in Computing held at the Gordon College Grounds. The event was organized by the 4th year students from the College of Computer Studies and was led by the event chairpersons for BSCS, BSIT, and BSEMC. The Tech Fest served as a culminating activity where students showcased their creativity, innovation, technical knowledge, and talents through various competitions and activities. The event featured several competitions such as the Digital Art Challenge, Animation Design Contest, Decoding Challenge, Web Design Competition, and Hackathon. There were also different E-Games tournaments including Tekken, League of Legends, Mobile Legends, Valorant, and Teamfight Tactics.  On April 13, 2026, our team organized a seminar entitled “Life in the IT Industry: More Than Just Programming” held at Calapandayan Integrated School . The seminar featured Alan Jevons as the resource speaker and aimed to provide participants with a broader understanding of the IT industry by exploring different career opportunities, industry realities, and the essential skills needed to succeed in the field. The seminar began with the opening program followed by the introduction of the speaker. The session focused on how ICT procurement in the Philippines is evolving with the implementation of the New Government Procurement Act (RA 12009). The webinar connected policy, technology, and sustainability, giving participants a clearer understanding of the future of ICT systems in government agencies and organizations. It provided valuable insights into how proper procurement practices contribute to efficient and sustainable technology management.  On September 6, 2025, I participated in the Hour of Code – Batch 7 webinar organized by Department of Information and Communications Technology Region 3 in partnership with ASEAN Foundation and the Break the Fake Movement, with support from Google . The session was conducted online from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and was led by Allan A. Custodio . The event was free and open nationwide, giving students and aspiring learners an opportunity to explore coding and Artificial Intelligence in an enjoyable and beginner-friendly environment. It was an engaging experience that combined learning, interaction, and hands-on activities that made technology easier to understand.  On November 23, 2025, our team organized an online webinar titled “Basics of Arduino and IoT,” conducted via Google Meet. The event was led by our group, Keyboard Pioneers, with the goal of providing participants with a beginner-friendly introduction to Arduino programming and the Internet of Things (IoT). The session featured Mr. Joshua B. Tumbocon, a Full Stack Developer from IDESS Interactive Technologies Inc., as the resource speaker. The webinar aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge and practical application, making it easier for participants to understand how hardware and software work together in modern systems. The webinar began with the opening program and the introduction of the speaker. The event was an unforgettable experience that brought together IT students, educators, and industry professionals across the region. It was filled with learning opportunities, engaging discussions, and exciting activities that showcased the creativity, technical skills, and research capabilities of the participants. The day started with a fun energizer led by the event emcee, which served as a great icebreaker. Everyone was encouraged to participate, creating a lively and comfortable atmosphere. Keyboard Pioneers: Introduction to AWS

 On October 18, 2025, we successfully organized our first-ever webinar titled “Introduction to AWS,” with Mr. Moshe Dimawala Adormeo as our guest speaker. We were introduced to him through our team leader, who also happened to be his capstone adviser. After a brief conversation about his background and expertise, we invited him to speak for our event, and he graciously accepted. He chose to discuss Amazon Web Services (AWS) and introduce the fundamentals of cloud computing. The goal of the session was to help participants understand how AWS works, how cloud services are managed, and how small applications can be built and secured using various cloud tools. The program began with an opening prayer, followed by Mr. Adormeo’s talk, “AWS 101: Build, Secure, and Clean Up a Tiny App.” He explained AWS’s global infrastructure, pricing models, and essential security practices such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) .
